Below frankie and to the right SECRETARIAT the triple crown winner of 1973.Secretariat in my opinion was the greatest horse of all time and my favourite horse. BIG RED as he was known to his owner, was and probably still would be the fastest 1m4f horse of all time, still holding the record for his 31L VICTORY in his finale to the triple crown, in the belmont stakes. He smashed the track record by 2seconds+ , was said to have the neck of a buffalo, a total power house. When he won the belmont stakes, he achieved an unheard of feat of NEGATIVE -SPLITTING, running each quarter mile, faster than the one before it, meaning he was accelerating each split of 400m. On his last race, he ran on grass and won the canadian international stakes, by almost 7 L another incredible accomplishment as that was also unheard of on GRASS.Altogether, Secretariat won 16 of his 21 career races and finished out of the money just once — in his debut as a 2-year-old, when he was jostled coming out of the gate and finished fourth.
